Toaster Waffles

Ever wondered why toaster waffles are called, well, toaster waffles?? I was just asking that question to myself today. That's because for all I know, I never toasted my waffles before. Sure, they are frozen when I take them out of the refrigerator. But then, I'll put them in the microwave instead, although I have a toaster too~ But never even once have I tried toasting a waffle.
